Customer Review: Nice but needs more rows of teeth

This is the closest that I've come to my favorite cutler that is no longer in production. RAYKO made the best curling iron. This one by Conair should take a tip from RAYKO. They need to put twice as many rows of teeth in so that you don't burn your scalp. Rayko has 8 rows of plastic and eight rows of metal teeth therefore they are so close that there's no gaps to touch your scalp.
This one by Conair should also have a rotating brush head for easy removal from the hair. I like the heat choices but it should NOT be so easy to switch the temps. Every time you move your hand on the handle you tend to move the setting.
I did give it 4 stars but only because I love these types of curling irons because they don't flatten your hair, they fluff it up.
The one thing that I don't get is how you change the plastic teeh when they get broken, which they will. I saw no place to order new teeth for maintenance. hope you don't have to send it away somewhere for ''repairs''. What do you use in the meantime? Oh, I get it .... you have to buy another one for a spare!!!
I have purchased RENAC irons and they also get hot but they have no plastic teeth to keep it away from the scalp - but then neither do the regular curling irons. I was always going to work with burned scalp, forehead and fingers from them. But with RAYKO I never had the problem. Too bad they no longer make them. Hopefully Conair will do an upgrade on this product and I will but 50 of them... never to be caught without it again.
