Arguably the worst thing for your hair is constant exposure to chlorine and other agents, but if you are a member of the armed forces in southwest asia or the middle east, and you are lucky enough to have a shower nearly every day, these are just things you deal with.
My long hair literally resembled a rat's nest...I could probably hide a small country in there! I had no idea what I was going to do..hack it all off when I got back to the states or just deal with looking like a homeless person. A friend once called my former hair "Pantene Hair," but there was no way you could tell. I honestly thought my days of good hair were numbered, thanks to the constant torture my mane went through each day (bun, chlorine, sun, general nastyness of Afghanistan). Until my roommate, who is German, tossed me a bottle her sister had sent in a care package and told me to shutup and just use it already.
Um, wow. This stuff smells delicious and works, I promise! It doesn't make your hair greasy, which is not what other products can claim...and I have used almost everything under the sun: Aveda, Aussie, Balsam, Clairol...sure it's not cheap, but nothing worth anything is.
