My 15 year old daughter and I went for pedicures at a top rated local salon. The pedicurist noticed a small cut on my daughter's leg (had happened the night prior, was still fresh but not bleeding). She said she had an antiseptic and put it on the cut rather liberally so it ran down from front of leg to back, and then down the back of calf to ankle. Didnt realize or think to wipe it off. The cut welted up and several hours later she had burning red marks everywhere the solution ran on her leg. After considering going to emergency room (that's how bad it looked) waited til morning and took her to doctor who said it was probably a reaction to whatever was put on the cut and should heal. Just to put cream on it. It is healing but has looked horrible and still does 9 days since this occurred. Has the appearance of a mild burn from iron or hot pan, but covers a larger area. She' going to prom in 2 weeks in a short dress, and hping it will be gone - and no long term scar. Seems like a few others have had similar reactions to this stuff. I've seen the bottle and info online and does not seem to indicate any cautions regarding sensitive skin or the need to keep the solution off of healthy skin. Would be awful to have reaction like this on face.
