I've always used astringents as aftershaves (oh, Bonne Bell, where are you now?). As a Khiel's fan, I bought this astringent, and have to say that I was disappointed.
One, it's quite drying, which may be fine for people with oily skin, but isn't for me, especially after shaving. Two, once it dries it creates a kind of barrier on the skin that, at least in my case, prevented my moisturizer from being absorbed. There it sat, on my skin, until I wiped it away.
So, to reiterate, I'd only recommend this is cases of chronic oily skin, and not as an after-shave.
