I've bought Korres Cherry Oil lip gloss in the past but it's been probably a year since I last bought a tube. What I first loved about it was the natural color, natural ingredients, and the wonderful cherry smell and flavor.
Today I bought a triple pack of Cherry Oil lip glosses today ($19.50) and didn't try them out in the store first. I just took them home. I trusted they'd be as fabulous as they were the first time I'd bought them.
Wrong.
They've either reformulated or they put in a lesser product in the triple packs. (Interestingly, the single glosses are $17 and the triple packs are $19.50. Perhaps the products are completely different and they don't tell anyone?) The texture was thick, heavy, tacky, and completely devoid of the cherry aroma that I fell in love with. It was just wrong. Terribly wrong. I checked the ingredients and "artificial wax" is one of the top ingredients. Maybe this is why it just doesn't feel the same? I am not certain if this was one of the original ingredients but the texture is markedly different.
I have two more vials to try, but if they are as bad as the first that I opened (Fuscia color) I anticipate that I'll be returning them to the store where I bought them. If they didn't reformulate it tells me that their products are inconsistent. Maybe they're having trouble sourcing the same ingredients as my first vials of lip gloss.
