I have a very oily scalp. Nothing at Walmart would help my scalp. I used the Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo until they changed it up. I asked a stylist and they suggested this. I have long hair which tends to dry up with an oily scalp. However, with this product my scalp stays dry and the ends of my hair stay healthy. I do not put a lot of the conditioner on my scalp. This is a thicker conditioner. Plus it smells wonderful.Also, I could by a liter and pay shipping for a great discount from buying in a store like Ulta who just irritates me.
