Customer Review: Great idea, but this grip doesn't grip tight enough

I was looking for a way to insure that I didn't lose my Chapstick on the ski lift when putting it on with my bulky gloves. Later model Spyder ski jackets have an elastic tether with a carabiner in one of the chest pockets so I thought this would be a perfect use for the tether. Unfortunately, this holder doesn't grip, it's too loose. I tried wrapping masking tape around the Chapstick to make it tighter, but this didn't work well as the tape surface is too slick. I tried using Coban Self-Adherent Wrap (they wrap it around your arm when you give blood), but it has so much grip that makes it difficult to put the Chapstick back into the holder. The product really needs to be stitched smaller when it's manufactured to make the neoprene stretch around the Chapstick tube. If you're handy with a needle and thread or know someone who is, you can turn the holder inside out and do this yourself, or take it to a shoe repair store and have them run another stitch.
