I recently purchased the Marc Jacobs as well 'Dolce and Gabbana For Men' based on a number of positive reviews and recommendations. I personally thought the Marc Jacobs was overly sweet when it dried. Sweet figs is how I heard it described once, and I think that gives you the best idea of what it smells like. I prefered the Dolce and Gabbana for it's light woodsy/citrusy scent but that's all a matter of preference. I will say that the Marc Jacobs last longer (i.e. doesn't fade as fast when applied).
For fun, I decided to test both out so I sprayed one on each wrist and headed out to ask various women (friends and strangers) for their opinions. (By the way, this is a great way to meet women especially if you are honestly interested in their answer.) They liked both, but hands down the winner was Marc Jacobs! I think it was almost unanimous. Marc Jacobs is now my "evening/going out" scent. (I use Dolce and Gabbana as my "day" scent.)
Women like it and I wear it for them, so I gave it 5 stars.
