The shimmer oil gives a very subtle shimmer to your skin which is nice when dressing up. However, the oil takes a while to absorb and your skin ends up being a little greasy for the first hour or so, which is fine for me when I am going to the beach. The fragrance is a little overwhelming at first, but thankfully softens a bit over time. It is hard to imagine what "gingerlilly" smells like and I would say that the oil smells more like a combination between easter lily and gardenia. It reminds me a lot of a perfume sample that I got when visiting the easter lily gardens in Bermuda.
