Customer Reviews of Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment 3.4 Oz Bottle with Blue Box

Customer Review: Great product - even for fine to medium hair!!
Summary: 5 Stars

My hairdresser first introduced me to Moroccan Oil earlier this year. She used it on my hair after it was washed (following highlights) and again, after she had cut and blown it dry. Applying it twice did not make my hair look greasy. I LOVE the smell of this product. It is nice and tropical but definitely not overpowering. After using it for a few days, I no longer smell it on me after applying it. It makes my hair very soft, less frizzy, smooth, and makes my layers look a little more 'piecey' looking. I have fine to medium hair that is very wavy. In the summer I would even call it curly but it needs humidity to look its curliest. I have my hair cut and highlighted with foils every eight weeks. I use this product to keep it smooth and to help ease the damage with the hair dryer and straightening iron. My hairdresser recommends I use it twice a day - once before blowdrying and then after, before straightening with the straightening iron. Even though my hair stays nice when my hairdresser applies it twice, I preter to use it once as I don't want to do anything to bring on the greasies. My hair is naturally oily and I have to wash it every day regardless if I use this product or not.

Customer Review: Expensive but worth it
Summary: 4 Stars

I saw the stellar reviews for this product here on Amazon and also on [...] and decided to put it on my birthday wishlist since its so expensive. Luckily, a little goes a very long way so a bottle will last you a while (especially if you don't use it everyday). I have medium-length fine hair but a lot of it. I get partial blonde highlights at the salon every few months and use a straightener and/or blow-dryer almost everyday. Needless to say, my hair takes quite a beating. My ends split and can look frayed and damaged and I often have fly-aways that just make my hair look messy. A little dab of Moroccan Oil on my wet hair takes care of all of that by making my hair look shiny and tamed, no fly-away or frizz, and feel absolutely soft and amazing once dry. Surprisingly, I have managed to never use too much on accident which is amazing since most other shine or fly-away products I have tried tend to make my hair look greasy and lifeless. Not Moroccan Oil. My only gripe with this product is the price so I add it to my Birthday and Christmas Wishlists so I never have to fork out the money myself (the 3.4 oz size lasts me long enough between my birthday in March and Christmas in December).

Customer Review: GENIUS!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This product is pure magic, if I could I would give it 10 stars! You see, I tend to dye my hair a lot, and after a year or so of abusing my hair, it was as damaged as hair can get without falling apart completely. So I went to my trusted hair stylist, who is a true genius when it comes to hair, and she recommended this treatment. The price tag made me flinch, but then my hairstylist gave me a trial run. She showed me how to apply this after towel-drying my hair, a very small amount concentrating on my most damaged areas, and to apply heat with my hair dryer to help absorb it in. The result was such a huge difference. Unlike most other leave in products, this one doesn't leave your hair feeling greasy (like that citrus stuff, yuck) or anything. After using this after every shower, my hair has transformed from something that was such a pain, I put it in a ponytail everyday to avoid having to deal with it, to the softest hair imaginable, that I want to wear down everyday. Seriously, my friends who have seen what I have done to may hair could not believe how soft it was!! If you are looking for a cure for damaged or otherwise distressed hair, I give this my highest recommendation.

Customer Review: Fountain of Youth for Hair
Summary: 4 Stars

This is an exciting new (to me, at least) product made from the oil of a plant that is only found growing native to Morocco. At 59 my hair, once soft and lustrous, had become rather dry and frizzy. I went to the salon to get my long hair cut off trying to regain a bit of a youthful look. I left not only with a great haircut but I also learned about MoroccanOil. The stylist told me drier hair is common as one ages and used the oil on my hair. I was very pleased with the results. Used sparingly on wet hair before styling it gives a suppleness and shine that is not oily or greasy at all. The salon sells the oil for $30 something but I found it on Amazon for $27.50 plus free shipping! Seems the price on Amazon has gone up to just over $30 as I write this but it's still a wonderful product, to me well worth the cost and I'm not one to spend a lot on beauty products at all. The only reason I did not give it a full five stars is that the scent of the oil could be a bit more pleasant. I'd say it resembles the smell of chocolate a bit. Once styling product is applied, however, the scent is not that noticeable and certainly not a deterrent to using MoroccanOil.

Customer Review: Fabulous Hair Product truly works for all HairTypes
Summary: 4 Stars

The only complaint I have is that some of the oil spilled out before I received it. Also, it will take a bit longer to ship if you live on my side of the country.

As for the product, I absolutely love it! My hair is fine and oily so I have to wash it every day. My old colorist told me not to but if I don't, it looks awful. Alas, my newest stylist recommended this to me. It makes my hair soft, easy to style and shiny without weighing it down. It's better for your hair than natural oil, in my opinion. I haven't had a trim in over six weeks and my split-ends are minimal. Salons will sell this bottle to you for about $40 bucks and I got mine off of here for $25 so it's worth buying from these people.

I have straight hair but since it reduces drying time, I can fully dry it and style in less time. One of my best friends has thick curly hair and used it. Her hair looked amazing with just a dime-size amount and her curls were more defined. She plans to order a bottle as well. After using this, all I need is some hairspray to style and I'm ready to go. It truly is the last product I'll ever have to try!
