Customer Review: Great product - but don't expect drastic or miraculous results

I have used this product for about 5 months now and have been using it consistently every night. I am in my 30's and am trying to lighten/remove my sunspots, uneven tone, and old acne scars.
I have never used this type of hydroquinone based product and so far I have had good results, but it is very gradual for me. Perhaps some people it will be fast and some it may not work at all. But for me, it does work very gradually. I saw mild results after a couple weeks but it is very very gradual.
I did not aggravate my skin when I put it on at night. I made sure to put it on at night only and not in the daytime as they said not to. Also I made sure to put on suncreen every day too like they suggested.
Depending on how much you put on and use; initially I put it on generously on my cheeks and it helps even skin tone and sun spots to be a more uniform and lighter color. I am now spot treating each sun spot as my skin tone is a nice even tone now, but my sun spots are still there, albeit a lighter color.
I did not use this in conjunction with the other Murad vitamin C product that they recommended; I will start using that this month in conjunction with this product in hopes of getting even better results.
Overall this product definitely worked for me, but is very gradual, but I am somewhat concerned about the side-effects I hear about hydroquinone, so I plan to stop using after another month or so just to be safe.
