As a cancer patient recently entering remission, it is imperative that I avoid the sun's rays even more than I did in the past. I have tried countless sunblocks/screens over the years that always failed miserably. Either I couldn't stand the sticky, thick, smothering feeling of it on my skin, the scent, the greasy/oil residue, or they simply did not work for me. I also wanted to find a product that would not irritate my eyes, drip when I sweat (oops, as a woman I guess I should use the word 'perspired'). I finally found this product that met all my weird requirements. Fast absorbing, waterproof, not greasy or thick feeling, smooths on easily without residue and no scent that I can distinguish. After using it several times/day since entering remission in April '09 when here in New England we were already experiencing freak 80-90 degree sunshiny days, I have also found my skin is more elastic, smoother and softer (the chemo & radiation destroyed my skin-I was looking like a mummy, esp. on my forearms, neck and hands). I use the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 85+ on body and limbs, and use the Neutrogena Pure and Free BABY SPF 60+ on my face. No breakouts, no eye burning or irritation, no rash. This stuff is great for me. My doctors are happy with the results also as I spend a great deal of time out of doors now after being cooped up in the house/hospital for over 2 years of treatments. I love being in my garden and walking/playing with all my dogs in the fresh air and sunshine. These products keep me from stressing that I am not protected enough. I am more than happy with the results and will keep this on hand all year round, even through the cold, wintry months here in Massachusetts.
