I purchased this because of all the stellar reviews. I don't get it. First I purchased two tubes of the store brand comparable version and was horrified with the results. So I figured, maybe I need to try the real thing. Then I purchased two tubes of the actual, "Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch", sunblock in 85 and 100.
I just don't get it. It went on greasy, left my skin all shiny looking, and it never absorbed or dried. I thought.. okay, maybe I'm using too much. So I tried applying just a pea sized amount. It still left my skin looking dewy and very tacky and sticky to the touch. It isn't dry or sheer at all, and applying such a small amount is problematic.
On the tube it says to apply it liberally. Most people don't use enough sunscreen. You need at least a nickle sized amount for your face and a shot glass amount for the rest of your body. Also, you need to let your sunscreen penetrate the outer skin layers, which takes about twenty minutes. On the tube it tells you to wait less than that, but even after an hour this stuff was not absorbing. It was still laying on the surface like an oil slick. Now imagine having to reapply this after twenty minutes in the sun. Yuck.
I have tried other sunblocks that do go on dry and do everything this purports to do. So, let's just say, I've seen better and I won't be buying this again.
