My hair started thinning out at alarming speeds daily whenever I ran my fingers through my hair (even gently, combing, washing my hair which came out in in handfulls at times. Once, I even counted how many hairs and came out to more than 30. It could have been more but I was so pissed off that I stopped counting. Three months before i noticed the alarming hair thinning i was on a daily workout doing 5-6 mile runs and lots of other exercises and i neglected my diet to compensate for the big change since i usually did nothing. I lost about 45lbs in 2-3 months because i was about 60 lbs overweight (5'6 and weighed 200lbs) and 3 months later is when i noticed the amazing speed i was losing my hair. I decided I had to do something since there was now a visible balding spot about 2 inches wide on my vertex and my scalp on the top of my head was becoming visible which even caused me to try and find ways to comb my hair to hide. Embarrassing isn't it?, and I'm only 22 yrs old (male). Everytime i checked my pillow when i woke up there were like 15 hair strands daily. I went through sort of a depression state for about 1 month while my head got even worse. I was about to just give up and even thought about shaving my head =O. Then i finally deciding to try to do something about it and found Nioxin which many gave great reviews. I've been using it for 3 months took my last tablet this morning and have another bottle ready. During the first two months i saw very little results at all since hair was still falling out (I had stopped counting by this point.) During the last half of the 3rd month i started seeing a big difference in my hair. The balding hole on my vertex of my head has closed from 2 inches to about 1 inch. The top of my scalp still requires some combing to cover some visible scalp which i hope will also fill up. Thinning of my hair during the 2nd month decreased but by the end of the 3rd month, (currently at that point) there still seems to be no thinning at all when running my fingers through my hair and combing. During hair washing there is still thinning, but only about 2-3 hair strands. Now there is usually no hair on my pillow when i wake up but if there is, it'll be 1 or 2 strands. There is also a visible thickness and darkness to each strand of my hair. I don't usually make reviews on what I buy, but with these results i just felt i had to. In addition to taking Nioxin daily i changed my diet as well to incorporate daily intake requirements of vitamins for hair growth in my foods. (Vit B12, Zinc, Iron) The pill itself has wonderful effects, but in addition the diets for hair growth & health it can becomes amazing. Three months in using this product getting good results, i'll continue using it. Try it for yourself and don't expect immediate (i want it now) results. Good luck!
