I've been buying online at amazon and ebay now for several years. The items are usually what they say they are and what I expect, but nothing that is so outstanding that I had to write about it. I recently traveled to Florida and I was really worried about the humidity and what my makeup would look like after a few hours. My sister gave me the remainder of a used tube of the OC Eight mattifying gel to use and take back home as she had another brand new one. All I could say after using it a couple of days was...wow! This stuff is great. I use Revlon's Colorstay long wearing liquid foundation, but it still never lasts as long as advertised until I used the OC Eight with it. I even went swimming and it seemed to make my makeup nearly waterproof. I tend to be self-conscious about my concealer and foundation staying on because I have a some darker pigmented spots on my face due to acne scarring as I have darker ethnic skin. I wear it a little heavier than most because I want good coverage, but no matter what brand I use it always seemes to fade or "melt-off" in my oilier T-zones, requiring a lot of blotting and powdering during the day, but losing that fresh morning, just applied look by the end of the day. This was not a worry with the OC Eight, even during my trip to hot, humid Florida. I will buy my refills online here. $35 is worth it considering how much I've spent on cosmetics, especially if this stuff makes my regular makeup look that much better! Yay!
