I'm a 39 year old married father of two living in South Florida. I did a few years of modeling during my high school days on Okinawa. The native population was fascinated with American culture (at the time) and I seemed to typify the male American teenager, and was able to get some gigs. So I'm no stranger to cosmetic products. Even models with flawless complexions would have make-up applied and have their hair done before a shoot. Using things like eye creams and lotions doesn't threaten my masculinity.
That was over 20 years ago and I've gone a bit soft over the years with a bit less moss on the old rock, if you know what I mean. When I was given the opportunity to use this Regenerist kit, I figured, "Why not?"
DAY 1: Received the shipment from Amazon. The Olay Regenerist Skin Care Starter Trio Pack was nicely packaged and easy to remove from the box. Before bed I took a shower and used the Daily Regenerating Cleanser. While I could feel the dermabrading particles, it wasn't unpleasant and didn't make my skin sore or sensitive. After the shower I followed up with the Deep Hydration Regenerating Cream and the Eye Lifting Serum. Both felt quite good going on. The applicator for the Deep Hydration cream is a unique push top affair that deposits the appropriate amount of lotion on smooth lid and you just wipe it off. Neat. The eye cream uses a little nozzle and it's easy to control how much you squirt out. Time for bed!
DAY 2: After stumbling out of bed and into the bathroom, I did a double take when looking in the mirror. Usually the prior evening's heavy drinking takes its toll come sunrise, leaving my eyes puffy and skin somewhat dry. This morning I looked fresh as if I'd spent a weekend at a spa and had just finished a half-hour yoga session. I guess the Amino-Peptiede +B3 complex works fast. Impressed, I repeated the processes before bed again that night.
DAY 3: I again woke to smooth, hydrated skin and eyes that weren't puffy. I could swear that even the dark circles below the corners of my eyes were lightening and receding. This time I applied the kit before leaving for work. They say you can use it twice a day so why not? I got a few comments at work to the effect that I was looking different -- in a good way. I repeated the application process once again before bed.
DAY 4: I may be imagining things, but in addition to hydrated skin, it looks like my wrinkles are smoothing out. I don't have many yet, but there are some obvious ones. Make that were. I'm using a bit more of that hydrating lotion from now on.
DAY 5: Last night I used the cleanser on my whole body and boy did it tingle, especially after rubbing the lotion on afterwards. Gotta love those Amino-Peptides! This morning the skin over my whole body feels firmer and smoother. Amazing!
DAY 6: I'm now using the cleanser and lotion all over my body twice daily. Call me crazy, but it makes me feel younger more energetic. Still just using the eye lotion on my eyes though.
DAY 7: Had to go out and buy the larger versions of these Olay products. I ran out of the cleanser and the lotion and am sure the eye creme will soon too, since I'm now using it 3 times a day. The dark circles have disappeared, crows feet are but gone, and there is no puffiness under my eyes whatsoever.
DAY 8: I think the dermabrading properties are actually helping me to shed pounds! My clothes seem looser than last week. I've started using the eye cream around my midsection too. I figure that if it could lift my eyes, why not my belly and love handles? Note to self -- must buy a 12-pack of the stuff after work.
DAY 9: No change.
DAY 10: Okay, I'm official a bit freaked out (in a good way). I seem to be growing younger! I sometimes work a bit of the cleanser and lotion into my hairline and today I see a bunch of little hairs sprouting where once there was just shiny scalp. I'm now using these products everywhere!
DAY 11: Believe it or not, my muscle tone is improving. Not only are the freckles and sun spots on my arms vanishing but my biceps are getting larger as well.
DAY 12: Had to buy new pants. The eye serum seems to have shrunk my waistline. That or the extreme hydration effects have actually led to me consuming less water and retaining less of it. Either way, I've gone down two waist sizes.
DAY 14: I meant to write yesterday but my wife couldn't keep her hands to herself. I haven't been this "active" since my late teens/early twenties! :wink, wink:
DAY 20: I'm going end my report here. I don't have time keep a log anymore since I started modeling again. I'm off to Milan tomorrow to do a magazine spread. I lost 30 pounds, have a full, thick head of hair and the skin of a 20 year old. The Olay Regenerist line of products works miracles! I'd give it a full five stars, but it's gotten to be quite an expensive habit, so I knock one off for that. Fortunately, my new career pays well so I'll be able to keep myself swimming in Amino-Peptides. Highly-recommended!
All right, all consumers should realize by now that cosmetic product effectiveness is very subjective and there is not much hard science to back up the claims made by the companies manufacturing them. If if feels good to use and you think that you see or feel an improvement, then why not use them? As far as mid-range cosmetics go, Olay's Regenerist line is reasonably priced and performs well compared to some costlier competition. They are lightly scented and are pleasant to apply. They do exfoliate and hydrate the skin and make it feel softer and smoother. Does the Olay Regenerist Skin Care Starter Trio Pack give you younger looking skin, diminish wrinkles over time and lift, smooth and brighten the entire eye area? Your guess is as good as mine. Both my wife and like it, and we THINK we can see a difference.
