I purchased this item from my local drugstore a few days ago....AND I LOVE IT!! My heels have always had very thick and cracked skin. I've tried pumice stones, hand-held scrubbers, ointments, and anything else I could get my hands on. I've always been too embarrassed to get a pedicure. So when I saw this I thought, "What the heck, I've tried just about everything else." For the people who say it didn't do anything for them, they may have been using it in the wrong direction. You can only go up and down with it, so that the blades will work. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because some of the shavings will come out from the blades while using it if you're not careful. I probably didn't realize how much was in there and should have emptied it during use. The stick on emery files work great to smooth down the areas after using the egg. I can't attest to how long the blades work before having to replace them, but for now they work great!Customer Review: My PedEgg Test

Purchased the Pedegg, with all the different places that have it for sale I assumed I was getting the two for one price which I did not so I was disappointed right after opening.
After that I tried the product out and although kind of gross to some folks it works extremely well. You have to watch and not over do it and try for perfect feet. I went a little too much and actually had my heel sore for a couple of days because I removed all hard areas and when I walked it was like having a bruised heel.
So use common sense and the product will work wonders on the most calloused of feet!
My only dislike is when using, if you have thick callouses and you want to try and do the whole foot, well you can't turn the egg upside down or too far sideways to reach those hard angles of you foot or you risk spilling the small powder shavings out of the pedegg. Other than that I have no complaints in the design.

I have very dry feet that sometimes get cracked. Even with the best foot care products I have found, I felt like it took more time and work than it should to get nice results. I recently saw the PedEgg in the store and decided to give it a try. I used it briefly and was thoroughly impressed. The next day I took a little more time, which wasn't long. When I finished I applied lotion and my feet looked all pink and smooth, like my two-year old's! The real test came when I climbed into bed and slid my feet between the sheets. They felt awesome!
This can be used on any condition feet, from a smidge dry to super bad. (Probably not if you have medical issues, though.) It doesn't take long and the results are dramatic. It is easy to do and suprisingly gentle if you are careful. The shavings do come out, but not a big deal to me. The results, however, were. I hope everybody gets the same awesome results that I did!

I had looked into this product before buying it and am really disappointed. I have dry/cracked feet and thought using this product would make my feet smooth, when it fact it made things worse. It wasn't until 2 days later that I looked at my feet and was shocked. Parts of my feet had different layers of skin and the top part of the bottom of my foot was kind of red. Everyone is saying it's such a good product, but it ended up hurting my feet. I had to walk around bare foot because it hurt to wear socks and touch the sore spots. I will no longer use this product in the future. For those of you who want to try it, you should definately only use it on a certain area first and wait to see the results in a few days. Sure when I used it there was a lot of dead skin taken off, but it didn't help my feet any. If I could go back I would have never bought it and I would rather go to the salon to get a pedicure. I inherited my father's feet, which are legendary when it comes to calluses. As a female, I can't get away with nasty feet and so I have fought my unfortunate genetic trait for many years with files, razors, pumice, you name it. At first, I thought the ped-egg was ridiculous and just another junky television product:
I was wrong, and I admit it.
This thing is as great as everyone says it is, it works wonders, and I am winning the battle of the genetically predisposed feet o' shame. I can't walk around barefoot in a cactus field after having discovered the magical and wonderful ped-egg. I give them as gifts, I'm trying to convert the man in my life to embrace and respect the ped-egg, and I am a convert.
It works, it works, it works, and yes, the shavings are equally fascinating and disgusting but you will be amazed at how effective this thing is when it comes to removing calluses.
