Customer Review: wow something from infomercial actually works!

I had my doubts about this cheese grater look-a-like, but I tried it on my hubby anyway because he has a thick callus on the bottom of his foot and he always complained and complained. I tried cutting it off with a sharp razor which didn't look pretty afterwards and also a liquid type callus remover which didn't work at all!
So when I saw this commercial on TV I had to google reviews on it. After reading reviews from here I decided to order two, one for my hubby and one for my Dad.
On the day I received them, I tried it on my hubby and my Dad tried on himself and we both agreed that this thing really works. (If you have a thick callus.) You would not believe how much dead skin you'll collect. (It kinda looked like a couple spoons of parmesan cheese! :P) I'm glad someone advised to put something under the feet before using this because a lot of dead skin will fall on the floor if you didn't.
If I should add any words of advice, just make sure you don't grind too much at once or you might bleed. Moderation is the key for everything after all.

A friend told me about the Ped Egg, and how it was the first product that ever really worked on her callused feet. I have thick calluses on my heels which sometimes crack and bleed, so I was anxious to find *anything* that would help. I like that the shaved off skin goes in the reservoir for easy disposal, and that it takes off layers of callous without hurting my healthy skin. I started using it after almost every shower and noticed an improvement in the callouses. The Ped Egg never really got all the callouses off to the point that my heels were soft again, but I was happy with the improvement.
However, the blade dulls after about 5-6 uses, to the point that it's not taking off enough callous. I bought refill blades, which work great for another 5-6 uses.
At the price of replacing the blade all the time, I'm decided to go with a more expensive professional callous sander. Maybe my feet are just extra tough, but I had hoped the Ped Egg would be the answer to my nasty heels.
It's not a bad product for the price, but don't expect it to last very long.

I normally get pedicures every couple of weeks, but when I attempting to go on a budget, my poor feet suffered the consequences. My husband, who is used to me having smooth feet, suggest I try the Ped-Egg. I needed to get my feet in good shape for my brother's wedding so that I could wear my open-toed strappy heels. So I decided (somewhat reluctantly) to purchase this in an attempt to save money. After showering, with clean and dry feet, I gave the Ped-Egg a try - and I am so glad I did! I cannot believe how much smoother my feet are after using this product! The first time I saw it, I thought it would be horrible since it looks like a cheese grater, but it did wonders for my poor feet. I've only used it once and the results were amazing. My brother's wedding is not until next week (I tried this out early just in case it was horrible I would still have time to get a pedicure) and I plan on using this a few more times before then for the smoothest possible feet. I'm glad I decided to try it - well work the few bucks you're going to spend on it - and much cheaper than a regular pedicure!Customer Review: Works great!

I love this little helper! Cracked heels run in my family. (Thanks Mom!) I would classify my heels as moderately cracked, not really bad but not good looking in sandals. I had a pedicure once when they used the razor on my feet. My feet were never softer. I bought the razor for this use at Walmart and used a few times. It is very dangerous, as you can imagine, for someone who has had no instruction on how to use properly. I am happy to say I never really injured myself seriously but did cut a little too deep a few times!
I hate buying 'as seen on TV' items, they always seem a little too good to be true! I am very happy I gave this one a try.
+It is clean, no shavings to pick up (just like the advertisement says)

I definately recommend this product although I cannot comment on how long the blade lasts. I have owned it for 3-4 months and have used 4-5 times. It is still working well so far.

This is a very poorly constructed product and would not recommend to anyone. It did not work out of the box, not because it was broken, but because of manufacturing defects due to poor craftsmanship. I had bought this for my girlfriend, and it was nothing but a big disappointment. We could tell that even had it assembled properly and been usable, it is a very cheaply made product and wouldn't last too long at all. the metal grates are super flimsy, not much thicker or stronger than if they were made of plastic or maybe thick paper or something. She found a similar product at target made by a different brand, no more expensive, but 100 times better in quality.
Sidenote: also very disappointed at the super slow shipping time, nearly a month! and when it finally did arrive, it was just like wrapped in a piece of paper which did not protect it at all during its month long odyssey in and out of shipping facilities resulting in the plastic packaging of the product totally destroyed upon arrival.
i wish i could give this thing zero stars.
