I have had a life long allergy to almost all soaps. Every other soap I am able to use are very expensive. I have always noticed that when others use my soaps there skin becomes soft and healthy.
This shouldn't be a surprise to most because soaps are bad for your skin. Al soaps have either Lye or lime (Not the fruit but the chemical) two of the worst things anyone could ever imagine putting on their skin.
I can attest that this product is not made with any of these harsh ingredients. It cleans wonderfully and lathers up to an amazing degree. Just a note: "The two other soaps and shampoo I can use are "Lowilla" bar soap (about $5. a bar) and "Neutrogena" Bar soap (About $3 a bar) and "Neutrogena SHAMPOO"

My husband bought the small bottle on a whim and we've been hooked ever since, except now we only purchase the gallon size.
I have found it to be perfectly useful for everything (okay slightly less useful for dishes, but we have very hard water) and a tiny amount goes a long way. We use 1/8 cup for a large washer load and it does an amazing job. Did I mention that I have 3 kids and my husband is a construction worker? If this soap can clean our laundry, it can clean anything!
We use it for the bath and shower, washing our pets and sometimes I re-read the label just to smile.

I've been using Dr. Bronners' for at least 30 years- since I started buying it at the old co-op in my school days. Great for all personal hygeine- I use it for hand soap, shampoo, general bathing, etc. A gallon jug lastas a long time- add a pump from the hardware store and use it to refill smaller containers around the house.
My favorites? Peppermint for the astringent effect, and Tea Tree. But they're all good, and this price is half what you'll pay in some hippie ripoff artist's store.
And remember- as the doctor himself says, Dilute! Dilute! Dilute!

I've been using Dr. Bronner's soap for years. I searched for a long time before that to find the perfect peppermint soap, and this is it! I use it like bodywash for the most part, but sometimes I use it for shaving and it works wonderfully! It's also good when you want to get things clean without harsh chemicals. I have very sensitive skin but I've never had a reaction to the peppermint oils. Once I use up my soaps from a well-known soap and scents store, I'm going to replace them with Dr. Bronner's. It's about half as much per ounce!Customer Review: So cooling

I live in the Desert Southwest. Feeling cool during the hottest months can be challenging. Especially on the feet. This soap leaves you with a cooling effect that lingers long after the shower. I would advise to not use it to scrub the "tender parts" between the bellybutton and knees because the sensation can be quite strong. But for face, arms, legs, back and feet (especially feet) it is great. The lavender soap is lovely and if you buy that you can use it on the "tender bits" that the peppermint is too strong for.
