It cleans as well as any soap I have ever used. I use it to clean bicycle chain oil from my hands and it comes off easily. That's even when it's diluted.
But what I really like is that it's as good as canned shaving creams for shaving. It shaves as close and doesn't scrape.
When I'm on the road for work or off the road going biking, hiking, or, otherwise, I take Dr. Bronners with me. Nothing is as refreshing after a long day as showering and shaving with The Miracle Soap.

This is my 3rd gallon of this soap, and I will keep coming back for more. I use it for a number of things, hand and body washing (I dilute it 50/50 with water and put it into a foaming soap dispenser). It's also very nice for washing dishes, especially water bottles where any residual soap would add a nasty flavor, Bronner's doesn't taste bad at all. In a pinch you can brush your teeth with it as well. It's also nice for mopping the floor, the peppermint smell throughout the house is very nice.Customer Review: My only soap.

Dr. B's has become my only shower, shampoo and face soap. I live in a very arid, high desert climate and find that it does not dry out my hair or skin. It also leaves less soap scum to clean up. The stuff works as advertised. I bought this gallon size at a very good price here on Amazon, including shipping. With daily wise use, it'll last me for many months.
A good, economical, gentle, natural-ingredient product. I recommend it without hesitation.

my dad has been using this soap for years and gave me a bottle as a present a few years ago. i've been using it since! my favorites are peppermint and tea tree. recently took it on a camping trip and it was the only cleaner i needed - dishes, clothes, me! the gallon goes a LONG way. i keep a small decorative pump soap dispenser in the shower and just put a couple of squirts onto a sponge. not digging through multiple bottles, it cuts my shower time down, too!Customer Review: I love this soap!

I started using this soap in the 80's, but for some reason I stopped. I was recently at a health food store and the bottle caught my eye. I decided to try it again and I'm so happy that I did. This soap is awesome smelling and the scent lasts a long time after I shower. I cannot tell you how many compliments I get from people telling me how fresh I smell.
If peppermint is your thing, I recommend this soap. You will not be disappointed.
