In the summer I apply this over my regular sunscreen, after waiting about 20 minutes after applying the sunscreen. Since I don't like to wear lquid foundation in the summer, this gives me a bit of coverage and leaves my skin looking smooth. I carry it in my bag to reapply during the day because I never re-apply my liquid sunscreen. I've used it for two years this way and see no reason to switch. It seems to definitely help with the sun spots. Also, be aware that you'd have to apply a ton of this to your face for it to really be an effective sunscreen. I think it's best used over sunscreen.
