This exfoliation wash is fantastic! For many years, I have been trying to find the perfect scrub for me and I think this is the one. Like many women, we have used stuff from our local stores and never felt they worked well. After discovering Purity by Philosophy, I decided to give this a try and I am so glad I did.
I used my face scrubs in the shower, as I like to let the steam get into my skin to help the exfoliation process. During my first use, I noticed that its grains were very small and round, which is great for skin. Many scrubs on the market have coarse grains that can really irritate sensitive skin, so I was very happy to see this was not the case with this scrub. After using this scrub, my face has never felt so smooth, except after my monthly facial. Not only is my skin sensitive, it is acne prone, so while using an exfoliator helps to eliminate build up of dead skin cells and other nasty stuff, over scrubbing an irritate the skin and cause more break-outs, so I limit myself two 2-3 times per week, which seems to work well. I do alternate with other products outside of the shower which are more chemically based exfoliators, which are not abrasive to the skin (ex: Nami). These of course cannot be used everyday, so I alternate.

I use the Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash and love it. The directions say that you can use it daily in the a.m. and the p.m. Which I do. I have tried using it 2 or 3 times a week, but I see more improvement using it daily. This product isn't super-scratchy like some other facial scrubs on the market. It gently exfoliates, leaving the skin with a wonderful healthy glow. I do use the Microdelivery exfoliating cloths as suggested on the bottle, in conjunction with the exfoliating wash 2 times a week for an added buffing of the skin. My skin feels so renewed using this product. I have also noticed less breakouts since I started using this product. I reorder this, like some of my other favorites, before I run out. This is a must have that I want to make sure I always have on hand. I have used this to exfoliate my hands, then apply a hand cream and it seems to absorb the hand cream better. I stumbled onto this idea one day when I was trying to find something to use on my dry hands. What a way to get your money's worth.Customer Review: amazing!

I have sensitive, dry skin and always seem to have problems finding a good face wash. I need something that really scrubs without leaving me looking red and irritated and a wash that doesn't dry out my skin too much. I had tried many other products and given up on finding something that works. I read lots of reviews raving about the Hope in a Jar and decided to give it a try. I must say I am very pleased. I have been using this product for over a week and am amazed at how good my skin now looks. I started out only scrubbing for 30 seconds in the shower to test it. After one use I was amazed at how smooth my skin felt and how well it took the toner and moisturizer after (I am using Body Shop vitamin e toner and lotion). After a week my skin is much improved and my husband loves the way it feels so much that he even tried it. (I may have to hide it from him as I think he likes it too much!). I am 23 years old with acne-prone skin that tends to be oily AND dry... in other words, a complete mess! I was searching for a good face scrub and I have recently fell in love with Philosophy's Purity Made Simple and various 3-in-1 bath products, so I figured I'd give this scrub a try even though it seemed to be aimed towards women fighting fine lines and wrinkles. Well, my face HAS NEVER BEEN SO CLEAR! I even have a glow! I use it in the shower every morning and alternate between Purity and a face wash called Purpose each night (Purity if I wore lots of makeup that day). My blackheads are disappearing before my eyes and so is my acne. My face is also not dry and not too oily. I cannot believe how wonderfully this product works... it should be marketed for acne-prone skin, too, because people with acne have no idea what they are missing!Customer Review: Scrub Your Face

For those of us who not only want clean faces but also want a good scrubbing we have the perfect medium: the microdelivery exfoliating wash. This product was made for daily use and does an excellent job resurfacing or 'buffering' the skin. In our search for baby soft skin philosophy produces many fine exfoliant products. This, aside from their exfoliant kits, is the best because it has enough scrubbing crystals to deliver immediate results in 30 seconds. This is not a smell-good product so don't expect perfune. One word of caution; let the wash scrub for you. Don't rub too long or too hard. It isn't necessary. I once heard the President of philosophy say she didn't want to spend much time on her skin...she wanted immediate results. This is an answer from her. And for those who love a good scrubbing you have your wishes granted.
