Customer Review: For anyone, and even the hair that refused to hold a curl before, this is the remedy!

(Not using the Remington Iron) --> My hair is not thin, but not thick.. However it has never held curls. I'd used a curling iron for years and the only thing I used to get to stay were curled under short bangs with a lot of hairspray. (Told ya I been using irons for years lol) A few weeks ago, I wanted to try curling my hair (its been such a job to do, that I don't do it very often) to go out that night. I spent 2 hours trying to get my hair to curl, using product on each strand and then curling it and then spraying again, my hands were a big sticky mess with product from a high end salon that states its Not Sticky. (I've tried sprays, mousses, etc) Holding each strand I curled on the iron for 60 seconds at least! By the time I got all the way around my head, the other sides curls have come completely undone. I've been searching for something since, to try to get the long luscious curls that I've been wanting.
(Using the Remington Iron) --> I got on youtube and started looking at how girls get the curls I been wanting. People seemed successful with this style of iron. So I went ahead and bought one from Target cause I didn't want to wait to have it shipped, although, amazon and target had the same price. It was evening time and I thought I'd just try to curl it to see how it did before I went to bed, and I started curling my hair (my hair is about 3 inches past my shoulders), without ANY product other than some Tressemee Heat Protectant spray, I started to wind my hair around the iron. I held it for 7 seconds, and let go. I had a bouncy tight curl! This iron states that if you use a larger section you will have a looser curl, and smaller section will produce a tighter curl. I'd never used a iron before without a clip. And let me just say that I find it WAY easier to hold the iron and wind my hair around it, rather than putting an iron around my hair, making sure the clamp holds my hair right so the end isn't all jacked up, and then winding it up, etc. This thing, you just hold the iron, spin your hair around, hold a FEW seconds, let go, all is done!!! It's so much quicker, it's hotter than most other irons, no fussing with clamps, and it actually works. I continued going around in sections around the lower half of my hair, and the curls I made were still holding up, I really couldn't believe it. I finished my entire head of hair, in about 30 minutes (my first time!) and all the curls held up, Even those small sections I did with tight curls, still tight. You can loosen them some if you run your hands thru it but they're still holding the curl. When I finished I had this moment, remembering the girl spending hours doing my hair for my wedding day trying to get it to hold curl, and telling me, "I'm sorry but it's just not staying." (I ended up with VERY loose hardly noticeable waves at my wedding) I wasn't surprised then, but now I'm thinking, where was this iron then!! Lol. So please know, that on the hardest to curl hair, this iron really does its job. The next morning, I got up to look in the mirror, and my hair was still very very curly. Just amazing. I know I will never go back to any other iron they make.
Also those of you concerned with burning (as I was) this iron comes with a heat protectant glove. It's not like a thick oven glove or anything, its like a satin type finish (so its not going to pull your hair with it on, you can run your fingers thru your hair with it). I thought it was nice the iron came with a protectant, especially for those who are so worried about TRYING this style of iron (as I was). But once I got going, I got quicker and I forgot I even had a glove to try. So I didn't end up using it, so I can't tell you how well it serves it purpose, but it does have a note with it in the box stating that you can't hold the iron with it for a long time, as you will probably get burned. But if you just had it on there so if you bumped the iron it should save you from that burn.
