As noted by a previous reviewer, the unit is not designed well. Lid does not stay secure (an important point when traveling,) and the rollers have little contact with the heating source and easily topple. On the plus side, it will work in any country and i love the large size of the rollers.Customer Review: Not designed very well

The lid is not secure and the rollers do not sit properly on the heating device so everything falls apart easily. The edges of the rollers get very hot so they are hard to handle.
The unit does heat up quickly.

The edges of the rollers get hotter than the insides. It is too easy to burn your fingers or cheeks (when the rollers hang a little from hair) when using these. I'm surprised they are still on the market.Customer Review: Hair Setter
