I have tried round brushes, blow dryers, comb dryers... you name it, I've tried it, and have not been happy. Maybe because I am no cosmetologist. :=) However, I am exceptionally pleased with this product as it gives me the closest fininsh to having my hair done by my hairdresser. I love it. The first day I used this brand new dryer, it overheated after 5 minutes and never turned back on. Blow in it to cool it down? Forget it! I'd hyperventilate trying to cool it off enough to use it again. It would be easier to grow an extra arm and be able to hold a regular dryer in one hand and a round brush in the other, and use the new hand to separate the sections.Customer Review: Loud and a little difficult to use

This does the job but not easily. The handle is large and a bit difficult to maneuver. The brush gets hot fast so be prepared. I tend to use it on the lower or cool settings. Finally it is loud, loud like a leaf blower. I put ear plugs in whenever I use it otherwise it is too troublesome. Thought this would save time and be easier than a blow dryer and round brush, but no. My hair is long-ish and kind of fine/straight. The brushes would not grab the hair enough like my regular round hair brush. So, I couldn't get the full volume results I wanted. I can see how those with thick or wavy hair would fare better. I really love this styler. I use it as a blow dryer to dry my hair. I absolutely love the ionic feature, which leaves my hair really soft and shiny. My only problem with hot air brush was that the high heat setting wouldn't work for two months. I was about to throw it away and then I decided to try it again and it has been working fine ever since.
