To it's credit, this dryer is lightweight. The description of this item states it is "super quiet;" however, I found it to be quite loud on the high setting. Also, the diffuser attachment hurts my head. Someone needs to tell the folks at Revlon that the human head is spherical--not flat. Finally, the cold shot button takes several seconds before the air temperature drops; it's far quicker and simpler to just turn the dryer away from your hair to set the style. I am not able to see any increase in shine, luster, or smoothness from an ordinary hairdryer without Tourmaline or Ionic technology.Customer Review: Best Hairdryer I have used

I need a hairdryer that dries my hair fast and leaves it smooth and manageable. The Revlon is it! I have used many hairdryers, several 4-5 times the price of the Revlon RV544. The others are Tourmaline Ionic and cost a fortune, but I always come back to this hairdryer. It's lightweight and easy to use. My hair is silky smooth in no time! I gave the more expensive ones to my husband and teenagers, but they kept coming to my room to use my Revlon. I bought each of them one so now I don't have to share mine. Who says good quality has to break the bank! The Revlon RV544 is the perfect example!Customer Review: DO NOT BUY THIS. MINE CAUGHT FIRE AND HAD SPARKS COMING OUT OF IT! This is the second Revlon hairdryer that I purchased and both have ended up shooting out sparks and catching fire. DO NOT BUY THIS IT IS VERY UNSAFE. I wish there was some way I could get my money back.
The hairdryer started melting on the inside (it was melting the plastic on the diffuser attachment) and making a burning smell. I saw flames!
The GFI on the plug DID NOT WORK and the hairdryer kept running even though it was shooting a lot of sparks and had fire coming out of it.
This is a very dangerous product and should be recalled.

it shipped fast, and was as promised. i love that it's lightweight and can dry my thick, curly, long hair in about 10 mins (which is about 20 mins faster than my last blow dryer) without causing frizzies (when using the diffuser, which was included, along with a concentrator) or my arms needing a break. the only time i've had my hair dried faster was at Gene Juarez with what i'm assuming is much more expensive equipment. for under $30 i can live with the toggle buttons where they are. i turned it off once by accident, and just repositioned my hand after that and it was not an issue.Customer Review: Light & Fast

This is the lightest hair dryer I've owned, about half the weight of my previous model. I heard about this hair dryer on a morning TV news show and it was rated the best even over the $100+ tourmaline dryers, so for $23 I had to try it. It was sold out everywhere I looked...Target, Walmart etc. I finally found it here with a 1-3 week wait and ordered it. It did take about 3 weeks to get but It's so worth it. My hair is dry in almost half the time, the high setting is sooo strong. I highly recommend this especially if you have long thick hair like me that takes forever to dry naturally.
