I have been using Rubis combination point/slant tweezer for years. I switched from Tweezerman after reading that Rubis had won an award for their tweezers.
These tweezers are the most precise of any I've tried thus far. I can pluck hair when it's much shorter, usually within 2-3 days of the first sign of it. With cheap drugstore tweezers, I usually had to wait 5-7 days to pluck.
They are lightweight, and the point tip is sharp enough so you can easily tease out an ingrown hair or splinter. This sharpness combined with precision setup sets them apart from other higher end ones I've tried. The slanted side allows you to grab one hair or several hairs at once.
There are a few minor drawbacks, many of which are shared by tweezers in general:
They have to be handled carefully, because if you drop them, they may become grossly misaligned. Once that happens, they are pretty much worthless. There is more of a risk with these tweezers than some because they are so lightweight and precise to begin with.
They do come with a nice little protective, cushiony tip, which is unfortunately easy to lose because it is clear.
They have a tendency to lose their sharpness, and become slightly misaligned over time. What happens to mine is that they bow out ever so slightly at the back end, furthest from the point.
This particular trait seems to be different than what I've experienced with other tweezers. However, the point tip stays aligned pretty well, so they still function as point tweezers. This doesn't happen for a few years, possibly more, if handled properly.
They are made in Switzerland. I just checked the box they came in, and the inset, but there is no mention of a guarantee or servicing if and when they eventually become dull or misaligned. Personally, I wouldn't bother sending them in anyway, given that you usually pay shipping costs, but for what it's worth...
Finally, they are pricey.
Despite these minor drawbacks, they are well worth the money- you get what you pay for, and I won't use anything else.
