I bought this product at a local beauty supply store after the salespersons demonstration. this iron actually straightened my hair completely in less than 1/2 hour. The only con was that I turned it on the highest setting and straightened a really thin piece of my hair and I thought it burned it off. Turns out it just made that piece eternally straight. Even when I wash it, it won't return to it's orginaly state. Oh well at least it didn't singe and then evaporate into thin air...lol.
Excellent iron for straightening but test the setting so you don't have to learn the hard way.
