I bought a package of these hoping they would be a nice shortcut to avoid daily brush cleaning. I found that the sheets did very little to clean brushes. They will work ok on very thin brushes like a pointed concealer or a thin chisel. But don't expect any performance on complexion brushes, bronzers, or dense fluff brushes.
If you want to clean your brushes - and you should because all that product does take a toll on the bristles and it affects performance of the brush - there are only a few products you need.
1. Daily cleaning for powder brushes: if it's a brush that just has powder on it like an eyeshadow or a cheek color, you can gently wipe it against a paper towel until you don't see any more colored residue.
2. Daily cleaning for takalon brushes or brushes with creamy product residue like concealer or liquid / cream foundation: use baby shampoo, rinse with lukewarm water, gently dry with a towel, do not squeeze or wring the brush. Reshape and set it down to dry.
3. Cleaning for any brush with more than daily residue: use oil (baby oil, olive oil, mineral oil are all ok) to saturate the bristles. Remove the oil and residue with a paper towel. Then gently shampoo the brush with baby shampoo and lukewarm water. Rinse, towel dry, reshape, and lay out to airdry.
Do not get the brush wet above the metal where the bristles are attached to the handle. This could dissolve the glue and make the brush fall apart. Clean brushes with care and they will last a long time.
