I ordered this with Amazon Prime, and it arrived right on time. Nothing was broken.
What I like:
The range of colors is so plentiful that it makes me dizzy with excitement just looking it it. Most of the shadows are high quality and goes on very smoothly. I especially like the matte red colors, because they are the most vibrant and blend the best. The mirror is awesome, big and clear. You get a lot of shadows for a very reasonable price. The case is nice too, it is big and shiny, and looks classy when you carry it around. (My husband thought I was carrying an ipad, haha.)
What I don't like:
Note when I said "most of the shadows"-- yes, I found my case of shadows to be of inconsistent quality. The blues and greens are not the same pigment as the others. They are hard. When I dip my finger into them, barely any shadow gets picked up. When I try to apply them with brushes, I barely notice them on my lids. They are pretty much decorative. I don't understand why that is. Maybe my kit is just old or something. Does anyone else notice this problem?
I also don't really like the plastic gold colored trimmings that separate the shadows. They chip off and look cheap. Also, with so little space between the shadows it is difficult to single one out. They just bedazzle you with so many colors. I would have preferred it if they made this into a two tier kit with more space in between.
Over all:
This is a good purchase for a someone who is looking for a wide range of colors, or a teenager/college student who likes to try out different looks before settling on one--- but it is definitely not for a professional make up artist.
The inconsistent quality bothers me a lot, and makes me think that perhaps I should have spent a little more money and gotten a kit from BH or Coastal Scents. (I am by no means saying you should get those though, because I haven't used them either.)
Over all, I feel alright with my purchase, because I got to try out something new for so little money. Plus, no matter what, the reds are fabulous!
