Braun changed the shaver screen for model 1775 ( a very good shaver)from staggered holes to a smaller hole with a crystalline appearance. The original configuration is no longer available. The new screen (the only one that will fit the 1775 model) is TERRIBLE - shaving time has been increased by a factor of 4 to 5 to get a close shave. The screen appears to be best for use by women with finer body hair but is AWFUL for a man. The company also said that what I needed was part no. 11, which does not fit the 1775 shaver Even the factory is confused! If you need a replacement screen for your 1775 shaver, throw it away and get a different brand!
