Customer Review: Best Organic Lip Balm

While battling a chronic sensitive skin reaction issue for nearly two years, I tried nearly every organic personal care product I could find. I often had reactions to many of the supposedly "natural" products, but still kept my faith that natural was best and kept on looking. The hardest product for me to locate was lip balm. I grew up using lip smackers and it seemed every natural alternative just didn't work as well, until I found this organic softlips brand. I like that the pomegranate one doesn't have any citrus or mint flavoring as these are common in natural lip balm, but usually irritate my lips. It doesn't have a strong scent or flavor that will get in the way of eating and drinking. . I don't like to taste my lip balm with my meals. But it does have a very light pleasant fruity scent that some may not even detect ( I have a very sensitive nose).
The product itself is excellent, but the size of the tube is a bit small. However, I find that I do not need to reapply as often as with other brands, so maybe the small size lasts relatively as long as all the others. I can't say for sure cause I often lose them before I can finish a tube :p
Someone else mentioned not being able to retract the product after turning the dial on the bottom. I have not experienced this with any of mine as of yet. I never extend mine much farther than I need to use, which makes it possible to put the lid back on without retracting if necessary. Either way, I have no problems.
Another thing to note: I did recently order a batch that seemed to have a stronger, less fruity, more chemical-like scent to them. They all worked just as well and I felt no difference, so I don't know what happened with the scent. Just putting it out there in case someone else also gets a bad batch.
