I rely quite heavily on the Amazon community for their product reviews. This item had no reviews so I was a little worried about purchasing it at first. I took a chance when I saw it was stainless steel and made in Germany. I am glad I did. I didn't realize how bad my old clippers where until these arrived. Razor sharp. This thing even cut through my big toenails with ease. One of my pet peeves is cutting my nails because it makes a mess on the carpet and then I feel the need to vacuum (which I hate doing). Before receiving these clippers, I would cut my nails outside to avoid having a mess to clean up after. This isn't really a feasible option during the cold and wet winter months. The collector system on the clippers works great once you get the technique down. You must have the clippers positioned below the nail. If the clippers are angled above or level with the nail, you will not collect all the clippings. It is a little tougher to achieve this angle on your toenails, especially if you are a bigger buy like myself. Simply slide off the black sleeve over a garbage can and give the clipper portion a few taps on your palm to remove the clippings. Wish it had a file, but my cuts are so much cleaner with the razor sharp blades that it wont be needed as much. Highly recommended.
