I was looking for a sunscreen with just Zinc oxide as the active ingredient, because I am allergic to organic sunscreens and also zinc protects much better against UVA rays (and might help prevent wrinkles a bit, vain creature that I am). Yes, this product leaves a transparent white sheen on your face and so you have to mix it with a little dark powder (I use MAC NC50) in your hand, but then it applies like a sheer foundation. I have really sensitive skin but this doesn't bother it at all. Also, the Environmental Working Group rates this product as 'mostly non-toxic', whereas many sunscreens are loaded with suspected or known chemical badness.
