The great smell other reviewers are raving about is just lemon. I was expecting some exotic cologne or expensive spa smell. Nope, just lemon. I can't say that it works any better than any other pre-shave oil but at $32 for 2 oz the other options are cheaper.Customer Review: Good but not great

This is the best priced for the money but it is not as thick or as protective as the oil from "Art of Shaving" which does a better job.
I love TH shaving cremes but this and their shampoo line are terrible.

Really works in keeping the face moisturized. First apply a steam towel or very hot water to face and then add the pre-shave oil before your shaving cream.
