Customer Reviews of WENŽ Lavender Cleansing Conditioner 16oz

Customer Review: Takes some experimenting, but otherwise a good product
Summary: 4 Stars

I have thin, wavy hair that tends to get frizzy. I have a hard time finding products that will tame the frizz without weighing my hair down and taking away volume. Wen works pretty good for me. In the beginning it will take some experimenting as far as how much product to use, how long you have to rinse, etc. I have noticed a lot more shine and less frizz and flyaways. I love the scent of the lavender (a little minty smell is added too, to all of the scents, so bear that in mind), and it's formulated specifically for my hair type, but I seem to have to use quite a bit of it because the consistency of the creme is so thin. I was introduced to Wen with the Sweet Almond Mint product, and I seem to like that just a little bit better because it's thicker and I don't feel like I have to use quite as much to get the same coverage. A word of warning, though: If you don't take the time to really rinse thoroughly, your hair will feel greasy, and it will be dull and weighed down. So as long as you're willing to spend a few extra minutes in the shower, you should have pretty good luck.

Customer Review: A life saver!
Summary: 5 Stars

I first tried this product about 6 months ago. I am in my fifties, have thick very curly hair and, at the time, I was having problems with, age related, hair loss.

My hair stylist told me to use less harsh hair products, but as I was looking around they were all about the same. I did some internet research and found that rosemary has been found to be helpful for female hair loss, but none of the locally available products had rosemary as an ingredient.

Then I saw the infomercial about WEN products. They do not have the drying chemicals of regular shampoos and the do have rosemary as an ingredient. I tried it and found that it was everything they said it was. My hair is softer, shinier and no more frizzies. As an additional perk, after using it for a few weeks my hair loss returned to normal! That was not anything that was advertised but I think the rosemary and the fact that there are fewer drying chemicals made a big difference.

I am sold on this product!

Customer Review: Could do better for the price, not as good as described.
Summary: 2 Stars

I was very excited when I ordered the shampoo, however after a bottle not so excited. I've medium to thick long Asian hair, with natural waves at the end (not curly) and my hair was always healthy and shiny.
I liked the tingling sensation it gives while washing the hair and left the hair very clean, nicely fragrant.
But, my hair looked ridiculous and by 2 or more washes, the texture became like sheep's wool and surprisingly dry at the ends.
It might have done wonders for other hair types (based on positive reviews), but didn't do any good to my hair. Besides, it became a long process to wash the hair and I just couldn't wait to go back to my regular shampoo.

I'm now back to my salon product shampoo and conditioner, my hair is back to normal, shiny and manageable.
I think for this price, it performed bad. I rather would want to spend the same amount on my usual salon products, readily available in the town.

Customer Review: So so
Summary: 3 Stars

I really wanted to like this.
The concept sounds good and it makes sense that most shampoos may strip hair and scalp too much.
Unfortunately, I am not in love with it.
I've used it for almost 2 months and I tried using less product, more product, using as is, adding water, leaving for less time and for longer - my fine blond, shoulder-length hair always looks and feels limp, weighed down and somehow unclean with Wen. (And it's not because I'm not rinsing enough)
The "best" results are achieved when I use less product and add some water before massaging it into scalp and hair.
I get much better looking hair with sulfate-free volumizing shampoos from Aubrey Organics, Avalon Organics and Mill Creek e.g.
On days when it doesn't matter what my hair looks like, I may still use a cleansing conditioner (I think I'll try the much cheaper "Hair One" from Sally Beauty Supply) and use a gentle sulfate-free volumizing shampoo when I like to have pretty hair.

Customer Review: Wen Lavender Luxury
Summary: 4 Stars

I just recently started using Wen - this is only my 2nd bottle. I wasn't sure if I would like it... I have long color treated hair & normally use a variety of conditioners & leave in treatments. Now the only thing I use in the shower is Wen everyday & my deep conditioning treatment is down to only once a month!! (I used to do it once a week!) I really like how strong my hair feels now! It is much more manageable, come to think of it... I have not hard a 'bad hair' day since I've started using Wen! The only thing I do not like is that I can only buy it online & have to wait for it to be shipped etc... am scared I will run out & have to use something else!! So I guess that's on me & I will just have to be sure to always plan ahead & order before I run out of my current supply!!

I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to have healthy great hair & save a little time in the process!! WIN - WIN!! =)
