I must admit that I thought I was going to be ripped off by this product. I have very fine, wavy hair that tends to be frizzy with use of normal shampoos and conditioners. Shampoos destroy my hair and give me split ends like no ones business, and conditioners usually weigh it down like crazy leaving my hair looking oily or dull. Before I purchased this product, I began using Purology hydrating shampoo and conditioner with olive oil which was working much better than anything else I used before and which I still use on occasion, but I still had split ends.
After being up way too late watching Infomercials on a Monday night, I decided to order the WEN sweet almond mint cleansing conditioner (through Amazon of course, to avoid being sucked into a repeating order dealie-doo).
It arrived quickly, and I tried it immediately. It is quite a lot of work to massage and comb through my waist-length hair and it does require a lot of product each time in order to fully saturate(be sure to follow directions about adding water to create "lathering effect" and it will go a little farther) ,but the results were MUCH better than I expected! I literally "lost" 90% of my split ends (no idea how that works, but its a true story), get compliments on the shine and texture all the time and have more curl thanks to my locks being less weighed down than before. It is by no means a "miracle" product, but it definitely works some wonders for me! I occasionally will switch back to the purology (I have a 32oz of conditioner as well as shampoo left, so Im not wasting that $150 product)and I wash my hair every other day just to draw out the WEN's usage. If I were to use it everyday on my hair, the 32oz bottle would be gone in less than 3weeks! Overall, I will most likely be a lifetime user of this product once I run out of pureology. I reccommend you at least give it a try, though, as we ALL should know by now, everyones hair is different so it may not work for you as it did for me! I gave this product only 4 out of 5 stars simply due to the price, and the amount of work required to saturate long hair. Other than those two factors, I think it's amazing :D
