I carpool to work before daybreak every day and use this mirror to put on my makeup during the ride to work. I wouldn't leave home without it! The light is bright enough to even do eyeliner, and the magnification is good enough to tell whether your foundation is blended enough. I love it. It takes three watch batteries (389), and they run about $10-12 to replace, but you can almost get through an entire late fall, winter, early spring (dark season) before you have to replace them. I probably use the light on the mirror for about 25-30 minutes per day, five days a week.
