I have suffered the embarrassment of acne since I was 21. My chin tends to be the worst, with really deep, painful congestion that gets bright red and huge. I would have 5 or so really large bumps at a time on my chin, with smaller sporadic problems at my temples, cheeks, or front-and-center on my forehead. All very difficult to treat, all huge, and all impossible to hide. I have tried everything, Proactive, Zeno, prescriptions, vitamins, health regimens, endless acne treatment products, and tons of makeup! Needless to say, I was not satisfied with any of the results. Not having been a Philosophy customer, it took me a while to find this. But, when I found the On A Clear Day system, I thought, "One more try, why not?". I have very sensitive AND oily skin which is (sadly) beginning to show the first signs of aging, and judging by the description, this kit was perfection, if it did what it said.
To my amazement, it did! I have been using it for 7 months now, and my skin is so much better, even glowing (and NOT from oil!!). As long as Philosophy produces this system, I will never search for anything else! The spot treatment works wonders for me. I love the foaming cleanser, and the retinol and salicylic treatments keep my skin in check. I cannot say enough good things about this system. While I do not stay 100% clear 100% of the time, it has made such a huge difference for me that other people even comment on how clear my skin looks. Occasionally, I do get a little too dried out, but in that case, I use Philosophy's more gentle Purity cleanser for a night, and it works perfectly to put me back on track. (Also, I supplement with Philosophy's Hope in a Bottle moisturizer, since I do not want to encourage lines and wrinkles while I try to keep my acne dried out, as well as Murad's Matifier if it's going to be a long day in makeup, etc.)
If you are searching endlessly for the combination that will work for your skin like I was, you should really try this! I have become a die-hard Philosophy customer, and I can honestly say that I feel tremendously more confident now! Thanks to Philosophy, I can let my skin show, and that's a really good feeling.
